Getting Started:

The lessons are £5.00 per child per lesson, so let's see if Karate is for you!

Memberships:

Club Membership - Free membership when you join Derbyshire's Shukokai Karate. All we ask is if you could fill out a membership form with you contact details for our records and please inform us of any changes.

SSK License - All martial artists need to have a license to practice. This will cover insurances and give you a record of gradings.
Individual License: £26.00 per year
Family License: £50.00 per year (up to four members of direct family e.g. mum, dad and two children.)

Gradings:

Grading is a test on the syllabus covered in the lessons. If you pass your grading you progress through the belt system.
Grading takes place every three months. Within each three months, you must have a minimum of twenty lessons.

Grading Fees:

£22.00 per Grading
This will include your next belt, your license filled out, and a certificate of achievement.
All students must have a valid membership and SSK license before any grading.

Private Lessons:

Private lessons are also available:
30 minutes - £15.00
1 hour - £25.00

Equipment:

Children Karate Gi's - £18.00 (size 100cm - 150cm)
Adult Karate Gi's - £25.00 (size 160cm - 200cm)
Sparring mits - £16.00
Sparring foam shin pads - £10.00
