INSTRUCTOR

The Sensei:

Sensei Ryan Derbyshire is a fully qualified, fully enhanced CRB (Criminal Records Bureau) checked, fully insured and first aid trained instructor.

Ryan has studied the art of Shukokai Karate for over 8 years and is currently graded at 3rd Dan; he achieved his 1st Dan Black Belt in 2007, 2nd Dan in 2009, and 3rd Dan in 2012.

After being an assistant instructor at his local club for over 4 years, he has now opened his own children's classes in Widnes and is looking to pass on his knowledge and passion for the sport within his students, and will be looking to expand his classes.

Ryan also keeps in order and informed of any new developments or changes of teaching by attending all of the SSK Instructors courses to build on his own knowledge to pass onto his students.

Accomplishments:

Ryan has represented his club and associations in National and International Competitions. He also represented his country in 2010 at the World Championships Sao Paulo, Brazil were he became the under 21 World Champion aged 18.

Ryan is proud of his accomplishments and now becoming an instructor within the sport he is keen to impact with his knowledge and passion for the sport within his teaching.
